nordic-macaron-cylinder-shape-rotatable-1-light-wall-sconce-lamps
Mello Rotating Cylinder Wall Sconce

Mello is a cylinder wall sconce in powder coated metal, mounted so the head rotates in its bracket. That one movement is what makes it useful rather than purely decorative: the beam can be turned toward a book, a picture or the wall itself after the fitting is installed, instead of being locked in place the moment it goes up. Beside a bed it becomes a reading light; turned to the wall it becomes a soft wash.

Colour is the other reason to choose it. Soft gray, white and green read as considered objects against a plain wall rather than as hardware, which is why this modern sconce works beside a headboard, along a hallway or flanking a sofa, where a plain black tube would simply look like equipment. A pair in two different colours still reads as a set because the form stays the same.

It stands 9.84 inches tall and 5.12 inches wide and takes a standard E26 bulb, not included, so brightness and colour temperature stay open to choice; a warm LED suits the softer colours best. The round base measures 3.74 inches across and does not fully cover a 4 inch junction box, so a small cover plate may be needed behind it. Hardwired for indoor dry locations, with a licensed electrician recommended for installation.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0840/1148/3379/files/18822044532_896027673_8172f069-3ca0-4f52-abf9-40542fd0848c.jpg?v=1791151919
