Hollis is a vintage barn light in solid iron, built to point light down rather than out. The fixture projects 15.75 inches from the wall, and that depth is what puts the light onto the path, the doorstep or the garage apron instead of spilling sideways into a neighbor's window. It is the classic farmhouse porch light, sized to look right on an exterior wall.
Iron rather than pressed aluminum is the difference that shows after a few seasons. It carries real weight on the wall and holds its finish through changing weather, in black or a weathered silver black, where a thin pressed shade can dent and chalk. At 10.24 inches wide and 9.06 inches tall it holds its proportion on a garage wall, beside a front door, over a gate or on a barn style workshop, where a small lantern would disappear against the building.
