A single thin bar of light, no visible fixings and no shade to speak of. An ultra thin aluminium frame carries a silicone diffuser, which spreads the LEDs behind it into a continuous line rather than a row of points. Mounted horizontally above a bed or vertically beside a mirror, it reads as a drawn line on the wall rather than as a light fitting attached to it.
Five lengths run from 23.6 inches to 55.1 inches, so the bar can be sized to the furniture below it instead of floating at an arbitrary width. Black and gold are both offered. Black disappears against a dark or strongly coloured wall and leaves only the light visible, while gold picks up warmth from the diffuser and stays visible when the fitting is off, which suits a room where it is part of the decoration.
Lighting modes are either fixed warm light or three step dimming, cycled from the wall switch, which covers the common case of wanting it bright enough to read by and dim enough to leave on late. Several can be combined on one wall, stacked or staggered, and because the profile is shallow they sit close without projecting into a walkway. Scandinavian and minimalist rooms take it best, where the restraint is the point.
