The Tread recessed stair light puts light on every step exactly when it is needed. Each light sits flush in the wall beside a tread, casting a soft, downward glow that makes staircases, landings and hallways safer and far more inviting at night, while the low profile keeps the wall clean and uncluttered by day.
The motion sensor version detects movement around 1 to 3 meters away across a 120 degree angle, switching on as someone approaches and off again after about 35 seconds, so stairs light up automatically with no switch to find in the dark. Versions without the sensor work from a regular wall switch for steady light. A series of lights up a staircase creates a modern, hotel style effect. The soft, low level light also works beautifully as a night guide along hallways and landings, without disturbing sleep.
Housed in die cast aluminum, each light comes in a rectangular, square or round face and in black, sand white, silver or gray to match walls and trim. Light color options are warm white, natural white and cool white. The lights run on standard US 120V power and are recessed and hardwired, so installation by a licensed electrician is recommended, ideally during a renovation or new build.
