The Solar Basket Lantern Light from Covara Home is a woven effect PE shell with the light source inside, so the pattern of the weave is thrown outward as the light passes through it. Cordless and rechargeable by sun, it can be carried to wherever the evening is happening: a patio table, a deck rail, the edge of a lawn, then brought back indoors as an ordinary lamp.
Colour is handled by wireless remote, with sixteen solid colours and four gradient modes. That range makes it as workable for a quiet warm white on a dinner table as for something more deliberate at a party. The built in lithium battery charges in four to six hours and gives eight to twelve hours of light, which covers a full evening and then some.
The shell is PE and ABS rated IP65, meaning it is sealed against dust and protected from water jets, so rain and garden sprinklers are not a problem. Two sizes are offered. It should not be submerged, and like any lithium battery product it should be charged in a position where it is not covered or enclosed. Solar charging needs several hours of direct sun to reach a full cycle.
